Metavo Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 2, 2026
This policy covers Metavo — SEO & Share Preview Checker (the "Extension"), a Chrome browser extension published by SAIKI TECH SOLUTIONS INC. ("Saiki Tech", "we", "us" or "our"). It explains what the Extension reads, what leaves your device and what stays on it. Our website is covered separately by our main Privacy Policy.
1. Summary
- The Extension analyzes the pages you open (title, meta tags, headings, text, links and images) to produce SEO, readability, technical and social-sharing reports.
- We do not collect, receive or store any of your data. The Extension has no Saiki Tech server, no accounts, no analytics and no advertising.
- The analysis runs on your device. The only third party that receives page information is Google's PageSpeed Insights API, and only the address (URL) of the page being tested.
- We do not sell or share your data, and we do not use it for advertising, credit or lending decisions.
2. What the Extension reads
To produce a report, the Extension reads the content of the web page in the active tab: its URL, title, meta and social tags, headings, visible text, links, images and structured data. By default it does this automatically each time a page finishes loading in a tab, and shows the overall score on the toolbar icon. You can turn this off under Options → auto-scan. This information is processed locally in your browser and is not sent to us.
3. Requests the Extension makes
Depending on what you use, the Extension sends requests from your browser to:
- Google PageSpeed Insights API (
googleapis.com). The URL of the page you are testing is sent so Google can run its test and return performance, accessibility, best-practices and SEO scores. If you add your own API key in Options, the key is sent with the request. Google processes this under its own Privacy Policy. Pages that are not publicly accessible (localhost, intranet, login-protected pages) cannot be tested and Google will not be able to read them. - The website you are analyzing, and its linked resources. To check a page, the Extension fetches its HTML, its
robots.txtandsitemap.xml, and its share (Open Graph / Twitter) image. If you click Check broken links, it also requests the links found on the page. These are ordinary requests from your browser to those sites, and the sites can see them in their logs like any other visit. The page's own HTML request may include your cookies for that same site so that the Extension sees the same page you do.
The Extension does not send any of this to Saiki Tech.
4. What is stored on your device
The Extension uses your browser's extension storage only, for:
- your settings (optional PageSpeed API key, mobile/desktop choice, auto-scan and auto-PageSpeed switches, theme);
- the focus keyword and synonyms you enter for a given page address;
- short-lived cached results (recent scan data and PageSpeed results, kept about 10 minutes and cleared when the tab closes or the browser session ends, in the case of scan data).
This data never leaves your device through the Extension, other than the PageSpeed request described above. You can remove it at any time by clearing the Extension's data or uninstalling it. Your API key, if you enter one, is stored unencrypted in your browser's extension storage on your device.
5. Exporting a report
The "Diagnosis for AI" feature creates a Markdown or JSON report of findings for the page you analyzed. It is generated on your device. Where you paste or upload it afterwards, for example into an AI tool, is your decision and is governed by that service's terms.
6. Why the Extension needs its permissions
- Access to all websites — the Extension analyzes whatever page you are on, and fetches that page's raw HTML,
robots.txt, sitemap, share image and links, which can be on any domain. It cannot be limited to a fixed list of sites. - scripting — to run the content script that reads the page.
- storage — to save your settings, keywords and short-lived caches.
- sidePanel — to show the report in Chrome's side panel.
7. Limited use
The use of information received from web pages and Google APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Page data is used only to provide the Extension's single purpose of analyzing a page's SEO, readability, technical health and share previews. It is not transferred to third parties other than as described above, not used for advertising, and not read by humans.
8. Children's privacy
The Extension is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the Extension changes. The "Last updated" date above shows the latest revision. If a change affects how data is handled, we will update this page before the new version of the Extension is released.
